Our Mission

Digital access should expand what people can do.

AccessAI exists to make websites easier to perceive, understand, navigate, and control—and to give the people who build them practical ways to improve.

Why it matters

Access is the difference between being included and being left out.

People use the web to learn, work, apply for services, manage their health, and stay connected. When a website cannot be read, understood, or operated, the barrier reaches far beyond the screen.

People should not have to fight an interface to participate.

Too often, digital systems expect people to adapt to them. AccessAI starts from the opposite belief: technology should respect different bodies, senses, attention patterns, and ways of understanding information.

One number

95.9%

of the top one million home pages had detectable accessibility failures in 2026.

WebAIM Million, automated analysis, February 2026.

The same report found that about 96% of detected errors fell into six categories: low contrast text, missing alt text, missing form input labels, empty links, empty buttons, and missing document language.

What we believe

Accessibility should be built with people, choice, and evidence.

Good accessibility is more than passing a checklist. It begins with the people affected, gives them meaningful control, and turns technical standards into improvements they can actually feel.

Start with people Listen to disabled people and design around real tasks, barriers, and lived experience.
Protect personal choice Give people control over how they read, move through, and interact with digital content.
Turn evidence into action Explain what is wrong, why it matters, and what someone can do next.

How we act

One mission, three practical paths.

AccessAI combines tools for the person using the web with tools and guidance for the people shaping it.

Why I care

I’m building AccessAI at the intersection of accessibility, public policy, computer science, and responsible AI—because lasting access needs all four.

The work ahead

Accessibility belongs in how the web is built, reviewed, and experienced.

That takes better tools, clearer knowledge, and the humility to keep listening. AccessAI is one contribution to that shared work.
